Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Research Methods and Skills Scholarships

Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga is pleased to announce its scholarships for research methods and skills via the New Zealand Social Statistics Network (NZSSN) Winter Programme 2011.

Up to four scholarships are being offered to emerging researchers and researchers to attend any of the short courses offered by NZSSN in their Winter Programme 2011 at the University of Auckland (refer to for further details of the courses offered).

Applicants must demonstrate how the course would contribute to their research and/or studies.

Introductory courses


Introduction to Statistics

Applied Computer-assisted Qualitative Data Analysis using NVivo

Data Analysis in SPSS

Using Mixed Methods in Research and Program Evaluation

Intermediate courses


Introductory Bayesian Statistics (2 days)

11–12 July (Mon–Tue)

Q Methodology (2 days)

14–15 July (Thu–Fri)

The instructors who teach the NZSSN short course programme are qualified experts in their respective fields with extensive teaching experience.
