The Te Kotahi Research Institute is holding a series of events from July - October 2017, which have been sponsored by Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga.

The first of the Tikanga Rangahau National Wānanga Series will be held at Massey University in New Plymouth from Tuesday 15 August - Thursday 17 August.

The second of these research wānanga will be held at the University of Auckland from Wednesday 30 August - Thursday 31 August.

The final wānanga will be held on the Otago University Campus from Monday 11 September - Wednesday 13 September.

These wānanga workshops will provide a space where Māori researchers and senior Māori scholars can share and workshop knowledge and information, and they are designed to support Māori and Indigenous students to develop capacity in regards Kaupapa Māori research theory, methodology, and practice. Leading research case studies will be explored to support participants move research into action.

All participants in the Wānanga Series are required to enrol from Workshop One onwards, to meet the prerequisite requirements to progress through the workshop stages.

This series is free to attend and includes the three workshops days and meals.

The Tikanga Rangahau Webinar Series starts Monday 24 July at 12.30pm. This is the first of four webinars that will be held over the next few months.

Associate Professor Leonie Pihama will be leading the first discussion with Dr Naomi Simmonds on Kaupapa Māori theory.

All MAI Te Kupenga PhD Candidates and students are invited to participate in this series of online research talks.

The webinars provide a space where Māori researchers and scholars can share and workshop knowledge and information that highlights kaupapa Māori research.
