Livestream: UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of Indigenous Peoples Public Talk at Waipapa Marae

Join us for a public lecture from the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples - the Nin Tomas Memorial Lecture for 2024. The Special Rapporteur, Francisco Calí Tzay, will speak about lessons learned from constitutional reform movements and about the implementation of UNDRIP. Mr Calí Tzay's visit is an academic visit, coming at the request of local groups, Wairarapa Moana Incorporation and Wakatū Incorporation, the National Iwi Chairs Forum and Te Kāhui Tika Tangata Human Rights Commission. His visit is focused on the state of Indigenous rights in Aotearoa, and the foundational role of te Tiriti o Waitangi in the country’s constitution.
