A fully funded opportunity for a high achieving Year 13 Māori student who has a passion for science, has once again been made available.

This grant, made possible by Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga, will enable the chosen student to attend the 9th Asian Science Camp in Thailand from the 2nd - 8th August, 2015.

The Asian Science Camp is an annual forum which has the goal of enlightening science-talented youths through discussion and dialogue with some of the worlds top scholars. It is also dedicated to promoting international friendship and co-operation among the best of the next generation of science students from the region.

The programme will include key talks from Nobel Laureates and eminent scientists, as well as workshops, field trips and social events.

Māori students who apply should have a passion for science and need to be studying and achieving highly in at least two science subjects.
