    This summer internship project uses Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS – ‘drone’) technologies to record images within the Tapuwae block. The purpose of this research is to examine future possibilities of cultural mapping, observe environmental links and monitoring environmental change.

    Farah research interests include gender issues in sport from a sociological or kaupapa Māori perspective, diversity issues in sport management and leadership and Māori leadership and governance in sport and business.

    She is a senior lecturer at the School of Management, Massey University coordinating a number of courses including Fundamentals of Leadership and Teamwork. She is on the board of NZ Rugby and is an former world cup winning captain of the Black Ferns.

    What opportunities are there for Indigenous digital solution platform that can be developed and implemented in communities?

    The need for this project arises from a previous study conducted by MidCentral District Health Board (MDHB), which identified the following questions as essential:

    1.              What are the experiences of long-term conditions for tangata Māori?

    2.              What are the main support systems utilised by tangata Māori in the 'self-management' of their long-term conditions?

    Project commenced:

    The overarching research question is: what constitutes entrepreneurial ecosystem efficacy with respect to indigenous entrepreneurs’ innovation intentions and activity? In order to investigate this overarching research question, the following questions will be explored: (i) how do Māori entrepreneurs think about innovation? (ii) How does enterprise assistance support Māori entrepreneurs’ to innovate? And (iii), what are the implications for enterprise assistance targeting Māori entrepreneurs?
