The NPM-New Horizons for Womens Trust Hine Kahukura Research Award is a partnership between Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga (NPM) and New Horizons for Women Trust (NHWT) and is for Wāhine Māori researchers.

Neihana Matamua (Massey University) recently completed his summer internship working on the project Seeking pathways to mauri ora for tāngata Māori with long-term conditions.

Te Kooanga Uetuhiao Te Owai Awatere-Reedy (Victoria University of Wellington) - has been working as an NPM and Borrin Foundation Intern on the project Te Akinga: a Māori law treatise.

NPM Principal Investigator, Dr Jason Mika (Ngāi Tūhoe, Whakatōhea, Ngāti Awa and Ngāti Kahungunu) from Massey University's School of Management has received this year’s Fulbright-Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Scholar Award, which will see him visit Stanford University and the University of Arizona.

Ngāpera Keegan (Ngāti Apakura and Ngāti Hikairo) received the 2018-2019 Te Pītau Whakarei Karahipi summer scholarship, which is offered in partnership with the Cawthron Institute based in Nelson.

Applications are now open for NPM's annual two-day media training workshop in Auckland, in partnership with the Science Media Centre.

From the 11th - 14th February more than 30 of Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga’s senior researchers including our leadership team and new Board Chair, Kerensa Johnston, were based at Rānana (Ruakā) Marae on the Whanganui River, for our annual Principal Investigators Wānanga.
