Overview

This internship explored the unmet needs of Māori within data systems. Data systems, and consequently data governance is a new and emerging field, with great potential for Ngai Māori.

The aim of the project was to pick apart the Māori Data Governance Model (published by Te Kāhui Raraunga) and repackage different parts of the model into deliverable content. This included producing a master document with FAQs, creating a presentation that could be delivered in an hour, or in a 3 hour workshop, or a wānanga over 2 days. And also producing a report for potential applications of the FAQs onto the different Te Kāhui Raraunga socials media channels.
