She previously worked at NPM partner Te Atawhai o te Ao on a project called: He Kokonga Whare (HKW): Māori Intergenerational Trauma and Healing Programme. Te Atawhai o Te Ao is a kaupapa Māori research institute based in Whanganui who work alongside whānau and Māori communities to undertake research to benefit Māori.
